My own recipe.

It took me 10 min

My score: 8/10

My wife gave it a 10/10.

Next time: Add the soup mix in two stages and keep mixing until the beef base is fully worked in.

Four ingredients, ten minutes, and one teaspoon of beef base is the secret.

My own French onion dip: four ingredients, ten minutes. Sour cream, Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix, a teaspoon of Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base, and dehydrated onions. The beef base is the secret, and it gets stiff, so put some arm into it. It serves 12, I give it an 8/10 (my wife gave it a 10), and I serve it with Cape Cod kettle chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 container sour cream 16 oz
  • 1 packet Lipton Beefy Onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base
  • 2 tbsp dehydrated onions
  • Cape Cod Kettle Chips to serve

Method

  1. Add the sour cream to a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle some of the soup mix on top and stir.
  3. Add the rest of the packet and stir.
  4. Mix in the beef base. It gets stiff, so put some arm into it.

  6. Serve with the kettle chips.

Notes

Add the soup mix in two stages, some first and then the rest.
The beef base makes the dip stiff, so keep mixing until it’s fully worked in.
